Google pixel 2 specs and rumors "gain waterproofing"?

The  Google Pixel 2  and  Pixel 2 XL  will likely be powered by a Snapdragon 835, instead of a Snapdragon 836. Apparently Qualcomm has been forced to delay the upgraded chipset until the beginning of next year. Snapdragon 836 is still likely coming, despite  some other rumors . The Pixel duo is expected to become official on  October 5 . If the differences between the Snapdragon 820 and 821 are anything to go by, the 836 shouldn't be a huge upgrade over the 835, so it's hardly a great loss. And Pixels are rarely lacking in performance so the current flagship chipset should do just fine. Specs for Blanc and Alps have leaked as well.  Starting with the former, it's powered by the  recently-unveiled  Kirin 970 SoC, and sports a 5.99-inch display with 1,440 x 2,880 pixel resolution. RAM is 6GB, while internal memory options include 64GB and 128GB. The model features a dual rear-camera set-up (12MP+20MP) co-developed with Leica, and an 8MP front shooter. It is 7.5-mm thick, packs in a 4,000mAh battery, and run Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box. Some other features it offers include IP68 water and dust certification and an LTE Cat. 16 modem. Coming to Alps, it's also powered by the same SoC, but sports a 5.88-inch (2,560 x 1,440 pixel) display. Unlike Blanc's 18:9, Alps offers an aspect ratio of 16:9, indicating the device might be a Lite variant. Some of the other changes (when compared to Blanc) include 4GB RAM, no 128GB storage option, 8.23mm thickness, and LTE Cat. 12 modem. Via 1  

Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2017) launched with quad-core CPU, 5,000mAh battery

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2017) is finally official. The tablet is powered by an SoC with quad-core, 1.4GHz processor, and sports an 8-inch display of 1280 x 800 pixel resolution. RAM is 2GB, while internal memory is 16GB. The camera department is handled by an 8MP rear unit and a 5MP front shooter. Measuring 212.1 x 124.1 x 8.9mm and weighing in at 364g, the device runs Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box. A 5,000mAh battery is there to keep the lights on. The tablet has been launched in Vietnam, where it carries a price tag of VND 6,490,000, which currently translates into around $285. There's no information on if and when it will be made available in other markets.

Xiaomi ready announce Mi Note 3 on September 11 along with Mi Mix 2

Xiaomi is set to launch the Mi Mix 2 at an event that will take place in China on September 11. Last week Xiaomi took to the Chinese micro-blogging website, Weibo, to confirm that the successor of last year's Mi Mix was coming. Along with confirming the launch date, Xiaomi also shared an image of the upcoming Mi Mix 2 which hinted at the bezel-less screen of the phone. The company has now released a video teaser which notes that Xiaomi will also announce another device at the Sept 11 launch event. This will be the Mi Note 3 and it has also been hinted by Xiaomi co-founder Lin Bin.  Just the way last year Xiaomi announced the Mi Note 2 with the Mi Mix, this year too the company will launch a new high-end Mi Note phone along with the new Mix.
